A Safe, Happy Place After School

At St. Munchin’s Sports & Social Hub, we know that when the school day ends, the fun doesn’t have to!

Our After School Club provides a safe, welcoming and caring environment where local primary school children can relax, make new friends and enjoy an afternoon full of fun, giving parents and guardians peace of mind.

Every Monday, children enjoy a fantastic mix of food, active play and creative activities in a friendly, supportive setting where everyone feels included and encouraged.

Fresh Hot Meals & Baking Fun

After a busy day at school, every child enjoys a freshly prepared hot dinner cooked by our qualified chefs in our community kitchen, giving them the energy they need to play, learn and grow.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! One of the highlights of the club is baking with Laura & Alice, where children roll up their sleeves and get creative in the kitchen. From delicious cookie ice cream sandwiches and Rice Krispie buns to cupcakes and other tasty treats, there’s always something exciting to make, decorate and, of course, enjoy!

It’s a wonderful way for children to learn new skills, build confidence, work together and have lots of fun along the way.

Active Play & Sports

There’s always time to get moving at our After School Club!

Children love heading to our Sports Hall and outdoor play areas with Rachel, where every session is packed with fun, laughter and plenty of energy. From team games and sports challenges to exciting group activities, Rachel creates a positive, inclusive environment where every child can get involved, build confidence and enjoy being active.

Whether they’re scoring goals, learning new skills or simply having fun with friends, it’s all about encouraging children to stay active, work together and make wonderful memories.

Our After School Club has been running every Monday throughout the year, including during the summer months, giving local children a familiar place to meet friends, stay active and enjoy new experiences in a safe, caring environment.

Our Summer Camp is about so much more than days out. It’s an opportunity for children to build confidence, make new friends, try new experiences and create happy memories during the school holidays.

Summer Camp Adventures

Thanks to the generous support of the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB), our Summer Camp gave local children an unforgettable week of fun, friendship and adventure.

Our Camp ran Monday to Friday for a week during July 2026, each day was filled with exciting trips and new experiences.

From visiting the cinema and enjoying a day at the beach to adventures at the Aquadome, West Lake Aqua Park, Fota Wildlife Park and Galway, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

For many of the children who took part, these were experiences they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to enjoy. Thanks to this funding, they were able to explore new places, build confidence, make new friends and create happy memories that will stay with them long after the summer ended.

At St. Munchin’s Community Centre, we believe every child deserves the chance to laugh, learn and experience new adventures, regardless of their circumstances. This Summer Camp helped make that possible, giving children an opportunity to enjoy a week of fun, discovery and belonging in a safe, caring and supportive environment.

We are incredibly grateful to the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) for making this wonderful programme possible and helping create lasting memories for children in our community.
